Skin care in New Jersey is alive and well. Whether you’re looking for a great facial at a day spa, or something a little more defined. I recently started laser treatments for my Rosacea. With so many places to choose from, the question is how do you get the BEST skin care.
New Jersey gives a license out for skin care. So if you’re headed to a spa for a chemical peel or rejuvenating facial, ask if the esthetician has a license, and ask to see it. Also, there are different levels of chemical peels, so you’ll get a different level of peel from a spa than you will at a dermatologist. A spa will offer a superficial peel, where a doctor can give you a deeper peel. On the other hand, you may just need a basic superficial peel for a renewed appearance. Ask questions, so you know what the expected outcome is.
Also, if you’re going to get more intense or deeper skin care treatments in New Jersey, you’ll want to make sure you’re working with a board certified doctor. A dermatologist is a good place to start, or a doctor who has been trained in using the right equipment.
Before jumping into anything, take the time to ask questions. How long have they been doing this procedure? What should you expect after the procedure, and are there any things you should be doing or applying when you leave, on a home regimen?
